‘Aviation of Transformation’ is long poem
with words that are very hard to translate.
The subject and content is completely
absurd and deals with a woman falling
and a pilot’s moustache. Though strange
and unreal, the great absurdist poet Daniil
Kharms (1905-1942) is able to clearly
depict the woman’s distress, and the
helplessness of the pilot. Goppe’s edition
of this poem contains two lithographs by A.
Sedov and three by Goppe. The cover and
frontispiece are designed by Goppe and
            executed in silkscreen and collages.
