            Anatalii Naiman (born 1936) is a poet, translator and
            essayist. He started writing poetry in 1954 and befriended
            the great poet Anna Akhmatova (1889-1966) in 1959 with
            whom he translated poetry. Naiman’s poetry reflects on his
            spiritual experiences and the relations between people. His
            work is far from political and more narrative and descriptive,
            expressing balance and peace. This book, that Goppe
            arranged and illustrated with colour silk screen images, is a
            presentation of the poem Circus by Naiman.
            Mikhail Lermontov (1814-1841) wrote ‘The Sail’ in 1832,
